PAIGE'S FOOD NOTES
 
13 June 1999 - Once we arrived in Tokyo, we headed to an early dinner with two of Jim’s former students, Yoko and Nori. Yoko and her husband, Hamish, hosted us in their apartment, which is located on the ground floor and has a small, but beautiful green garden – a luxury few know in Tokyo. Nori’s wife, Mikiko, prepared all the food for the evening and before the night concluded, Jim and I both encouraged her to think about the catering world! We ate many kinds of sushi, sashimi, salads, a chicken and beef dish, bread and decadent desserts made with cream, butter and chocolate.
