PAIGE'S FOOD NOTES
 
3 February 1999 - In a local beer hall, we ate the best sausage with lots of mustard, brown bread, fried potatoes and salad. We quickly changed to beer after trying the locally produced and highly acclaimed applewine (which I expected to be sweet like English cider, but it's not). The applewine was potable, but absolutely did not compete with great German beer. Everyone did not share our opinion since we looked to be the only ones drinking beer in the applewine bar.
